Kids Machines
 |
The Kids Machines brought to J.A.K. Gym all the way from Italy have been designed and manufactured to interact with children. Developed by a team of experts including doctors, sports technicians, educators and psychologists from the Rizolli Institute of Orthopaedics, Institute of Sports Medicine and the Faculty of Motion Science of the University of Bologne, these machines—which resemble puppets, have the names of cartoon characters and feature a bright and colourful design—reassure children who quickly see the machines as new friends to play with. The rounded shape and design make these machines very safe to use.
The machines were designed to allow the child to carry out and remember the movements he or she most commonly makes every day like walking, pedalling, moving objects.
Exercises are performed as a game while sound sensors tell the child whether his posture is correct and a display shows him how to carry out the movement in a coordinated manner. The loads used while performing the movements do not put any strain on the child’s spine, muscles or tendons; more generally speaking, during the exercises carried out on the “Kids Machines” the involvement of the motor apparatus is very complex along dynamic muscle chains and always well below maximum exertion.
The Kids Machines feature various biomechanical devices to ensure that:
- The child remains in the correct workout position with every movement;
- Stress on joint and tendon heads kept within normal range levels;
- The neuro-motor and coordination skills of the child with respect to strength management are improved.
Meet our Machines
Oscar
- The Oscar Machine reproduces a very common gesture of a child, namely that of pushing an object. This helps to correctly coordinate the bending-stretching movement of the arms with respect to the front region of the trunk;
- Two independent pushing bars permits simultaneous, alternating or consecutive movement of the arms;
- The display allows you to set the number of repetitions and coordinate the movement speed and indicates the incorrect posture of the child.

Tommy
- This machine reproduces the upward and downward movements a child carries out every day with his arms when grasping or pulling down an object placed at a higher level;
- Two independent bars allow simultaneous, alternating or consecutive movements in order to correct muscular imbalance and stabilise the position of shoulder blades;
- The display allows you to set the number of repetitions and coordinate the movement speed and indicates the incorrect posture of the child.

Leonard
- This machine is designed to reproduce the upward bending-stretching movement of arms and the movements of the shoulder girdle which are typical gestures that a child performs when placing objects at a higher level;
- Two independent pushing bars permits simultaneous, alternating or consecutive movement of the arms;
- The display allows you to set the number of repetitions and coordinate the movement speed and indicates the incorrect posture of the child.

Ceasar
- Bending and stretching movements of the legs are the main feature of the Caesar Machine which allows the child to exercise his legs without overloading the spine;
- The child learns how to bend correctly and push up on his legs in all jumping, leaping and pushing activities;
- The display allows you to set the number of repetitions and coordinate the movement speed and indicates the incorrect posture of the child.
